Printing has long been considered an important part of the photographer’s craft. While the pandemic discouraged many photographers from printing their work, the print remains a key medium for presenting and preserving our work. This presentation will survey some of the important things to consider when you are printing your work. It will include a listing some of the local and national printing services identified by fellow club members.
Bio
Jim McDermott is this year’s Education and Training coordinator for NVPS. Trained as an economist, he finds the trade-offs among shutter speed, aperture, and ISO intuitively sensible. He particularly enjoys wildlife photography, although he enjoys just about any opportunity to practice his craft.
He credits NVPS and many friends in the club with challenging him to become a better photographer. At NVPS, he’s helped coordinate field trips and served as Program VP. He also worked to arrange speakers for Nature Visions, prior to it becoming Mid-Atlantic Photo Visions.
