On Sunday, July 18th, one of Kirk Johnson’s photo creations (called Desert Sun Abstract) was shown on CBS Sunday Morning, in conjunction with a piece on Megadroughts, which dealt with farmers in the western part of the US. seeing massive cuts in their water supply, as reservoirs drop to their lowest levels due to the worst drought to hit that region in 1,200 years.The attached photo-mandala was shown at the end (3 seconds) and was probably seen by several million viewers. Also shown is Kirk standing next to his mandala as shown on his TV set.
