Valerie and Ed Short each have images selected for inclusion in the 2022 Horses of Assateague calendar sponsored by the Assateague Island Alliance (AIA). Each year a competition is held for 13 slots — one for each month and the cover which are selected via blind judging. All proceeds support AIA’s mission to promote the awareness, education, and protection of Assateague Island National Seashore’s wildlife and natural resources for the enjoyment of current and future generations. Calendars can be purchased on the AIA’s website.
