NVPS members, Georgette Grossman and  Mike Whalen both received awards in the Washington Gardener Magazine – 13th Annual Garden Photo Contest. Georgette’s purple flower  photo (shown above) won the GRAND prize and will be published on the cover of the magazine’s Spring 2019 edition. 

According to editor, Kathy Jentz, all contest winning images will be published in the magazine’s next issue. (Click on the link below, then click “full screen” to see all the winners.) The photo prints will also be on display this summer at Meadowlark Botanic Gardens in Vienna, VA. The shows reception will be on Sunday, June 30 at 2:00 PM. Hope to see you there!!
