Bio
During his high school years, David Kravitz had his own dark room and enjoyed exploring black and white film photography. Then life intervened. After college, graduate school, and a 40-year academic career, he has returned to photography, as he always intended, though he has left film for digital. He joined NVPS in 2019 and is immensely grateful for all he has gained from his membership.
Description
David and his partner, Laurie Hall, flew to Portugal on April 23, 2025, and returned from Spain on May 20. They explored Lisbon and visited nearby towns in Portugal and Spain before joining a Smithsonian Journeys tour group in Lisbon on May 2. The tour worked its way north through Portugal and then east through northern Spain before ending in Barcelona. In this slideshow, David shares the sights, from cityscapes to playing children, that caught his attention.
