Member’s Gallery – Prints (Virtually): Love is in the Air with Bob Friedman

The gallery that Bob will share with us are photos of people showing love.
Bob Friedman – Bio
As a teenager, Bob started his photography journey with a basement darkroom he inherited from his brother. He enjoyed printing and did his first composite when he was 17 years old. He put a friend’s girlfriend’s head on a nude model. We thought it was funny but the girlfriend did not and they broke up.
The first thing he did when he bought a house was to build a darkroom in the basement.
He joined the Art League about 8 years ago and has been juried into many monthly shows and even received a Best in Show in an exhibit.
He has taken courses and workshops at Photoworks at Glen Echo, and with Freeman Patterson and Andre Gallant in New Brunswick, Canada, He has also had extensive courses in Photoshop. He has been a member of NVPS for over 15 years.
He has multiple images in the Ralph Rinzler Folklife Archives and Collections at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. and has prints on display in various professional offices in the Metro DC area, a Congressional office and in many private collections.
His current passion is street photography. Difficult in these times, but possible as shown in his photos in NVPS Members Gallery.
