Education & Training – (In Person) Bring Your Camera Night

Our in-person meeting on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, will be “Bring Your Camera Night,” with several stations set up to encourage you to try something different.

A first for the club, we will have access to the firehouse garage and an opportunity to shoot images of the trucks, equipment and hopefully some firefighters. Let’s plan on gradually filtering through the firehouse rather than visiting en masse. To state the obvious, if the firehouse gets a call we’ll need to depart.

There will also be other opportunities to try your hand at creating images at different activity stations. Exercise your creative side by playing with aspects of still life photography. Feel free to bring your camera, tripod, remote trigger or cable release, lenses (macro if you have one), and a smartphone (or iPad). We will supply tools and subjects for abstract photography with oil/water and water droplet refraction. We will also have light tables and product box setups for composing still life subjects.

Also, if you have gear whose time has come which you think others might enjoy, please bring it! We’ll have tables reserved as a “Swap Meet” area so clean out your camera closet and bring the items you would like to give or sell!
