Bio
Phil began taking pictures as a kid with an old family camera. Through his teens and after high school, he had a series of SLRs, including one of his father’s older rangefinders. Fast forwarding, Phil has had various digital cameras and now uses a Sony 6300 and 6600, which he’s very happy with. He also keeps a Nikon point-and-shoot in his car, just in case, and of course has his phone ready for any photo emergencies.
He is very glad he joined NVPS many years ago—so long ago, he says, that it feels like forever, but in a good way. Through the club, he has learned a great deal, including better composition, enough Lightroom to feel almost comfortable, and, thanks to demonstrations at meetings, how to mat his prints.
Description
Phil’s prints this evening show his wide range of photographic interests and techniques: reflections, architecture, machinery, ICM, panning. He continues to hone his craft.
