We will be visiting the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge (wild ponies,  Sika elk, Delmarva fox squirrels, egrets, herons, eagles, ospreys, and more) and other sites in and around Chincoteague.  Sign-up sheets will be available at all upcoming NVPS meetings to help form carpools (it's roughly a 4-hour drive from the Dunn Loring Fire Station).  Each morning and evening will be spent in the refuge.  During the middle of the day, we will explore the town of Chincoteague and surrounding areas.  If you want to come, please make your own hotel/motel/inn reservations soon.  Check Expedia or another travel site to compare options.  The Blue Heron Inn ($60/night) is a good choice, and other members will be staying there.
