Georgette Grossman
I joined NVPS in spring, 2008. This club has been a source of endless people who LOVED photography as much as I did–folks who were willing to share their talents to help me improve mine. The meetings provided wonderful programs and hands-on workshops that made learning fun.
I believe that part of photography is sharing your work beyond competition night. So many wonderful images are stuck in computers, notepads, and cells phones crying to get out. On November 27th I shall present a program entitled Getting your photos out of your computer! I shall explore options for members who do not print their own images. These include books, canvas prints, mugs, mouse pads, playing cards, luggage tags, tee shirts, tote bags, ornaments, iPhone covers, calendars, and note cards. I am bringing samples of those projects I have tried myself.
For those members who do print, more creative options are available. I shall demonstrate making a Lightroom template for the Hawaii poster collage I gave to my husband for our anniversary. I shall also demonstrate making note cards using Red River cardstock. Their website contains online tutorials and Lightroom templates for card making. They also provide printer profiles for common printers and the various paper types they sell. Red River has generously provided sample packets of 4 cardstocks for those members attending.
Join me on November 27th and give your images a new life outside your computer!
