Announcing a world premier of a newly commissioned musical work based on the photography of NVPS members Wayne and Judy Guenther. Cantate Chamber Singers, Gisèle Becker Music Director, will perform this new piece on Saturday, May 14, 7:30 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 945 G Street NW, Washington, DC. Wayne’s and Judy’s photography will be displayed in a video presentation to which the poetry of Roberto Ifill, and music of composer Andrew Earle Simpson have been set. This is a unique collaboration to be included in Cantate’s concert entitled “Patterns and Lines.” Concert cards will be available at NVPS meetings prior to the May 14 concert date and additional information is available from Judy at judyguenther1@verizon.net.
