Patricia Deege received a 2nd place for her image, “Angel Oak”, in the mixed media exhibit “Turning a New Leaf” sponsored by the Vienna Arts Society. This exhibit is currently being displayed at the Green Springs Gardens in Alexandria Virginia which runs from January 11 through March 6, 2022. Judge Elaine Florimonte commented: “Compositionally, this piece is a stunner. The foreground sucks me into the background and there is so much information back there. Love all the repeated verticals and the contrast between geometric and organic line.”
This famous tree is located near Charleston, S. Carolina and is a favorite destination for many photographers visiting the area.
