The following YouTube video on image noise reduction was sent by member, Jim Sinsheimer. (His text is below.) This is worth watching if you use Adobe Lightroom or Camera Raw, or Topaz DeNoise AI and want to reduce reduce noise in your photos.

Also, the referred website, PhotonsToPhotons.Net, reveals an interesting feature on most modern cameras called”dual-gain”, where certain higher ISO values can yield less noise than lower ISO values.

“The attached video is one of the best tutorials from Fstoppers about noise generation and reduction techniques that  I have seen. It also contains mention of a web page called Photons to Photos which has a chart showing noise responses for almost any camera at all ISO settings.  It was quite revealing.  I think that our members would really benefit from watching it.  If you and others agree,  maybe mention it in the next Fotofax.”
