This image, Skimmers at Work, won the Wildlife category at the 2016 Nature Conservancy Photo Contest which is run annually. It was captured at the Viera Wetlands, Viera, Florida on February 29, 2016 near sunset in one of the quiet pools of water that make up the Wetlands. The Viera Wetlands, a water reclamation site run by Brevard County,  has become a popular birding site in the “Space Coast Area”  of Florida with a diversity of birds and other wildlife.  The camera used was a Canon 1DX with a 500mm F4 using a 1.4x teleconverter.
