Please join us November 6th, 2012 for Program Night with Speaker Susan Bloom

October 30th is a very special night dedicated to the mastering the fundamentals of photography. While it’s known as Novice Night, it’s also a night of getting reacquainted with the fundamentals of photography for those who already know their way around the camera.

As it’s the night before Halloween, we shall be digging into bone chilling topics such as depth of field control, shutter speed and light sensitivity. Yes it’s the Bermuda Triangle of image exposure. We’ll take a terrifying journey taking your camera off automatic mode and exploring aperture and shutter priority as well as the macabre manual mode.

Then if you’re not totally terrified, Scott will introduce you to the goolish topic of Focusing Modes, few have ever returned after learning about matrix and spot metering. However should you be one of the few who make the journey down the river Styx, you’ll learn about proper ways of holding your camera! Gives you goose bumps just reading this doesn’t it!

It will be spooky fun and great fundamentals. This presentation is especially geared to new members and those considering joining a camera club. So come join the Prince of Darkrooms for Novice Night!
