April in this area is full of natural beauty, and Brookside Gardens is one of the best places in the DMV to photograph flowers and gardens. There should be lots of trees and flowers in bloom when we enjoy a morning there for our April field trip.

We will meet outside the front entrance to the visitor center at 8:00 a.m.
Cost:
Admission to the gardens is free.
There is free parking is available at the main entrance/visitor’s center. Additional parking is also available at the conservatory entrance on Glenallen Avenue.
Notes/Equipment:
- Lenses in the 24-70 range will work well
- Macro photographers will want to bring a macro lens, too
- Tripods are permitted except in the conservatories
- There are restrooms in the visitor center, which opens at 9 a.m.

- Brookside Gardens asks that photographers “…not disturb any gardens, stand on rocks or displays, block paths, or climb garden or fountain walls” and “not interfere with other visitors’ enjoyment of the gardens.”
