September 13th, 2011 - Workshop: Mastering the Art of the Digital Camera
Today's digital cameras are really very sophisticated computer systems, which can be "told" how take and process the initial digital image. Why are there so many settings in today's modern cameras? What do they do and how do they aid the photographer in producing a technically better picture? Or do they? This workshop is designed to help you master the intricacies of digital camera settings. But more importantly, this workshop will teach you how As it currently stands, Canon and Nikon are the two major camera groupsd these settings are used in different photographic scenarios. Please be sure to bring your manual and a fully charged battery. The more knowledgeable members of NVPS will be acting as SMEs (Subject Matter Experts). We will breakdown into groups based on the number of SMEs and camera types. As it currently stands, Canon and Nikon are the two major camera groups we have experts for, but if you have a different brand, we should be able to help with the basic concepts that exist across brands. Dennis Govoni provided the presentation from the workshop "Mastering the Art of the Digital Camera" and it is available for download from this link: Camera Essentials.pdf
