Timber S. Gooding Bio:

A true native of Northern Va. ,  Timber has seen the area grow from beautiful and natural landscapes  to the modern and exciting  architectural arena is today.  He has always been involved in the arts his entire life and recently became involved in photography as a hobby.  As a professional makeup artist, he has an eye for color and composition naturally, and has traveled around the world working for smashbox photo studios in L.A.   Now, he has moved his talents to behind the camera and enjoys every minute.   

" i wish i had been into photography during my travels for work, but, now i have an excuse to go back to all the exciting places a second time!"

Timber is currently a member of the NVPS (northern va photography society) and acquired many awards from the club, including  numerous 1st place images and was honored with the "photographer of the year"  for the enhanced print category for the club in 2007-2008, and again for advanced prints in 2008-2009.  Timber was a finalist with an image juried into fotoweekdc(08) exhibit.

Timber really enjoys photographing landscape, architecture, wildlife  and abstracts with macro.  His specialty is finding  the dramatic in the mundane.

Forum Subject:  

"Faith by Design"  is a presentation of a select number of images i have captured in the local cathedrals, basilicas and churches.  it is a 10 min presentation with music, and exhibits 90% of the photos from HDR.  this is NOT a documentary on religion, but, the art and architecture of these wonderful man made monuments to religion.  thus the title... "Faith by Design"!
