this club favorite, Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens.\u00a0 NVPS frequently visits this destination at this time of year because the lotus flowers and water lilies are in bloom.\u00a0 If you haven&#8217;t got your flower shot for next season&#8217;s themed competition, here is a great opportunity.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re not into flowers, consider the opportunities to capture images of dragon flies, birds, turtles, frogs, and more.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens is home to heron, birds, dragon flies, and amphibians.\u00a0 You&#8217;ll also notice the rather obvious shallow ponds filled with lotus and water lilies.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;re welcome to wander along the paths that separate the ponds in search of your next image.\u00a0 When you&#8217;re and lilies, you can take the boardwalk at the far end of the park out to a viewing platform where along the way you can typically find herons and other birds.<\/p>\n<p><em>This is a very popular destination at this time of year<\/em>.\u00a0 Please be patient and locate your subjects while maintaining social distancing from other photographers.\u00a0 The National Park Service warns that if the park becomes too crowded they may temporarily close the park gates to limit people on site.<\/p>\n<p>Sunrise is expected at 5:52 a.m. (EDT)<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_21665\" Those with an interest in birding may want to bring a lens with 300+mm range.\u00a0 A macro lens may also come in handy if you are interested in dragon flies.<\/li>\n<li>Don&#8217;t forget your polarizer and diffuser\/reflector.<\/li>\n<li>Tripods are allowed everywhere.<\/li>\n<li>Bring a mask, the National Park Service requires them.<\/li>\n<li>Bug\/tick spray and sunscreen.<\/li>\n<li>Water &#8211;
