{"id":8339,"date":"2016-02-11T20:05:27","date_gmt":"2016-02-12T01:05:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nvps.org\/home\/?p=8339"},"modified":"2017-03-31T13:45:59","modified_gmt":"2017-03-31T17:45:59","slug":"march-2016-portfolio-project-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nvps.org\/home\/march-2016-portfolio-project-update\/","title":{"rendered":"March 2016 Portfolio Project Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Critique on March 29-5th Tuesday<\/h1>\n<p>On March 29, the fifth Tuesday in March, we will have our initial informal critique.\u00a0 Mike Whalen and I will go through each of the portfolios and we will try to answer your questions. \u00a0\u00a0Some of the points we will \u00a0discuss are the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 do your Artist&#8217;s Statement and images fit together,<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 do all of the images work together,<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 how the images might be sequenced for the final presentation.,<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 what might be done to improve the portfolio.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Group participation will be encouraged. This will be an informal discussion and we will also answer relevant questions from people who are not submitting a portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>We will only look at a maximum of 15 images per person. If you have more than that, you can still include them in your final presentation. I am planning\u00a0 to spend the week of March 22-29 organizing the images\u00a0 for the critique. so please\u00a0 have your portfolio at a stopping point by March 22.<\/p>\n<p>And if you have been planning to sign up for Portfolio Project, or even if you haven&#8217;t, \u00a0it&#8217;s still not too late.\u00a0 If you have been working on a concept that you \u00a0would like to share, or have finally thought of a theme, \u00a0join the project!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>Sign up instructions<\/h1>\n<ol>\n<li>Get registered as a gallery user by going to <a href=\"http:\/\/nvps.org\/gallery\/main.php\">http:\/\/nvps.org\/gallery\/main.php<\/a> and clicking on register (upper right hand corner). Follow the directions on the screen to get yourself a login and password.
