\"NVPS-Improved-logo.100\"On September 1st, NVPS launches our new year with Erika Nizborski. \u00a0She will be speaking on Portrait Photography, both formal and informal, in advance of our\u00a0November themed competition: \u00a0 Portraits.<\/p>\n

About:<\/h1>\n

Erika Nizborski has been working as a professional photographer in the DC area for 5 years. She started her photography business shortly after graduating college and has been building it ever since.\u00a0 Focusing primarily on wedding, lifestyle, and event photography Erika uses her fast thinking photojournalism skills to her advantage.\u00a0 In addition to working as a photographer Erika also assists for various local and out of town commercial and editorial photographers.\u00a0 It is this experience that has helped Erika gain valuable lighting knowledge and skills. \u00a0\u00a0Having an on-going personal project is also very important to Erika because it keeps her creative juices flowing.\u00a0 Currently Erika is working on documenting her ever-changing neighborhood with a series called The Hyattsville Project <\/em>and she is starting a new series where she is documenting urban bike racing.<\/p>\n

In 2013 Erika joined SilverCore Photography Collective as a founding member.<\/p>\n

In March of 2014 Erika was a best in show winner at the annual Exposed DC photography show.<\/p>\n
