There\u2019s way more to iPhoneography than a Hipstamatic filter and a vignette. iPhoneography has the complexity of photography, just in a new form.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<h1>Biography<\/h1>\n<div class=\"\">For more than 25 years, Cindi Hobgood traveled the world scouting film and television locations for major Hollywood studios\u2026 thus the name of her Washington based photo tour company, SCOUT Photo Expeditions!<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">Location scouting for the entertainment industry sent Cindi and her camera to more than 20 states and 10 countries where she found the perfect stage for the boy to kiss the girl, the battle to be waged, or the child to romp in the jungle. During the scouting process Cindi would photograph hundreds of locations in countless ways in order to translate a \u201csense of place\u201d to the directors, production designers, and cinematographers on a given project.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">Cindi scouted locations for more than\u00a0<i class=\"\">160 projects<\/i>, including\u00a0<i class=\"\">Separate But Equal, The Patriot, Jungle Book, The Notebook, Dear John, The Amazing Race<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i class=\"\">Wheel of Fortune<\/i>; working for Paramount, Columbia Pictures, Disney, New Line Cinema, HBO, United Artists, Republic Pictures, and Sony among others. \u00a0Cindi worked for some of the most highly recognized and established producers and directors in the industry.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">An award-winning photographer, Cindi studied photography at\u00a0<i class=\"\">UNC Chapel Hill<\/i>\u00a0in the Radio, Television, Motion Picture department. She went on to study at\u00a0<i class=\"\">Savannah College of Art and Design<\/i>and after Hurricane Hugo, headed to California to attend\u00a0<i class=\"\">Brooks Institute of Photography<\/i>.<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">In recent years she is known for using the iPhone as a creative tool and has been recognized internationally for her distinctive style of art. She has exhibited her work at various galleries across the United States, garnering numerous awards, most notably The Mobile Photo Awards, winner of the \u201cPerfect Photo\u201d Category, The Best Mobile Photography and Art Images of 2013 and has given workshops and presentations at numerous events as wide ranging as corporation functions to the National Conservation Lands Foundation.
