Prints with Willa Friedman\u00a0\"Willa<\/a><\/h1>\n

I discovered photography right after college when I was an instructor at the American Museum of Natural History in New York. I was given a choice of several summer projects including cleaning small animal cages, filing old forms or sorting owl pellets. One choice was photographing wildlife in city parks. I chose the photography because my husband, Bob, knew about such things. I was handed an SLR camera and light meter. Over the following weekend, Bob taught me enough that the result was published!
\nFor about forty years I did nothing photographic\u2014I raised children and worked in management and sales.
\nAs I approached retirement, I drifted back into photography and have taken several workshops, including one with Freeman Patterson and Andre Gallant in Canada and have studied Photoshop with Eliot Cohen. I have, most recently, taken courses at Photoworks with Karen Keating and John Borstel. I shoot digitally with Nikon equipment and do my own printing on an Epson Pigment Photographic printer.<\/p>\n

\"Beth<\/p>\n

Beth is a professional photographer\u00a0specializing in both\u00a0travel and nature photography, however, she believes that a great image can be taken anywhere and always strives to give a unique perspective to what she sees.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

She has been interested in photography since her grandmother gave her her first Kodak Instamatic camera in 1982. \u00a0She knew back at the age of 12 that photography was going to be more than just a hobby, when she was laying in the middle of the street in New York City, taking a shot of the World Trade Center straight up and wouldn\u2019t get up until she had the image she wanted, much to the dismay of her family.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In 2008 she, along with her partner Rob Skerman, founded Morris Skerman Photography. \u00a0While they offer workshops to\u00a0multiple locations, their primary\u00a0loves are the southwest coast of England,\u00a0and the southwest United States\u00a0and they have created a successful\u00a0formula for workshops\u00a0that combine\u00a0history, creativity, fun, and technical support\u00a0with the goal for every photographer to be inspired by their experiences with them.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In addition to the workshops,\u00a0her images can be found on postcards that sell along the south coast of England, as well as on\u00a0several stock imaging sites. \u00a0She speaks at\u00a0numerous camera clubs each year and she has also recently been contracted to do marketing work for a pub company in England.<\/p>\n

Beth is a member of the Northern Virginia Photographic Society (NVPS) and the Weymouth Camera Club (WCC) in Weymouth, England.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
