He joined NVPS in 2009 and held board positions from 2010 to the present, including president in 2013. His photographic interests include nature, landscapes, macro, people, travel, and abstract photography. He currently uses Sony equipment and post-processes with Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz Labs products. For this trip he took a Sony a6700 APS-C camera and 3 lenses: 18-50mm f\/2.8; 10-18mm 2.8; and a 70-200mm f4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:0px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignleft size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nvps.org\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-Fran-Bastress-6.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nvps.org\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/3-Fran-Bastress-6.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31558\" style=\"width:166px;height:auto\"\/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Fran<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>Fran Bastress<br><\/strong>Fran has been a member of NVPS since 2009, served on its board for two years, and placed in various competitions, including at Nature Visions where she received the 2018 People\u2019s Choice Award in Photo Art. In recent years she has been creating large bound photo books, including <em>A Journey in Ireland: Scenes from the Emerald Isle<\/em>. Although devoted to Canon cameras for years, she converted to the OM-1 in 2022. For post-processing, Fran uses Lightroom and Photoshop, along with Topaz and Nik plugins.
