These still images will be shown in three groups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Flora and Bugs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Birds and Mammals<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Water and Landscapes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>(Possibly) Close-Ups and Abstracts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some examples are shown below. The presentation will be a short video slide-show (approx. 10 minutes) with background music. The video will also be available to members via the website (within a few days after the date presented).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bio<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mike became interested in digital photography in 2006. His first camera was an entry level Canon DSLR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He joined NVPS in 2009 and held board positions from 2010 to the present, including president in 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also volunteers weekly as a pet photographer for the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, and occasionally, as an event photographer for charitable organizations such as the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition and The Epilepsy Foundation of America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joining NVPS was a significant learning opportunity due to the many club activities and inspiration and tips from talented members willing to their knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His photographic interests include nature, landscapes, macro, people, travel, and abstract photography. He currently uses Sony equipment and Lightroom, Photoshop and Topaz products for post-processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped
