Kieulan considers herself an avid photographer.  She loves to photograph macro, landscape, travel, street and currently she is working on Light and Shadow project.  <\/p>\n\n\n

In 2019 during Covid, she took a workshop from Rosie Lalonde to learn how to take pictures of flowers and transform them into paintings using mixer brushes in Photoshop.  Since that day, she has immersed herself learning more and more about this technique and lately  besides orchids she also paints dogs, cats, and birds.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the last 4 years, Kieulan has been building up her portfolio of painting orchids.   These paintings are from pictures that were taken from many trips to Longwood Gardens, US Botanical, and local gardens near her house.  These images that she presents today are a small body of her work as she continues to look for more exotic orchids to add to her collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Painting is just like mediation.   Seeing an ordinary picture and transforming it into a painting is something that Kieulan loves to do, and she feels so rewarded after finishing one painting.  A sense of fulfillment that is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
