\"\"<\/a>The African bush is a world that many of us aspire to visit but perhaps will never see. Patricia\u2019s travels there began in 1989, with subsequent visits in 2013 and 2015. Some changes were evident during that time period, but the excitement and fascination of seeing the multitude of wildlife in its natural environment never fades. This story takes you from the jungles of Botswana, to the vast open spaces of Kenya\u2019s Massai Mara, the majesty of Victoria Falls, the marvels of Kafue National Park in Zambia and Huange in Zimbabwe, and finally the street life of Arusha in Tanzania.<\/p>\n

Patricia Deege’s Bio:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>A native of England, Patricia\u2019s artistic journey began in childhood with watercolor painting and a box camera.<\/p>\n

Now retired and a serious amateur photographer, she has been a member of Vienna Photographic Society (since 1997), Northern Virginia Photographic Society (since 1999), League of Reston Artists and the Vienna Arts Society. She participates regularly in exhibits and competitions, winning many awards, among them \u201cBest in Show\u201d at the Claude Moore Photography Exhibit in Herndon, the prestigious Nature Visions Expo in Manassas, and the Vienna Town Photography Show. She was twice awarded \u201cPhotographer of the Year for Vienna Photographic Society. She has been published in the International Library of Photography, several magazines such as Shutterbug and \"\"<\/a>Outdoor Photographer, and in camera club newsletters and websites. She rarely leaves home without a camera and often finds opportunities to photograph in unexpected places; she enjoys creating slideshows and videos which illustrate her travels.<\/p>\n

From her place behind the lens, she has learned the art of seeing the unexpected and often unnoticed, and the fascination for photography has greatly enriched her life.  Imparting that fascination to even just a few other people has made all the efforts worthwhile.<\/p>\n
