Each year a competition is held for 13 slots &#8212; one for each month and the cover which are selected via blind judging. All proceeds support AIA&#8217;s mission to promote the awareness, education, and protection of Assateague Island National Seashore\u2019s wildlife and natural resources for the enjoyment of current and future generations.
