Learning to See Creatively<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Photographer Elliot Erwitt once said, \u201cTo me,\u00a0photography is an art of observation. It\u2019s about finding\u00a0something interesting in an ordinary place…I\u2019ve found it\u00a0has little to do with the things you see and everything to\u00a0do with the way you see them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Photographer Greg Holden will discuss how he sees the\u00a0world around him and how he captures that through his\u00a0photographs. He will discuss his approach for finding\u00a0different viewpoints in common scenes and how he\u00a0creates interesting abstract images by isolating a part of\u00a0a scene.<\/p>\n

Whether it is iPhone photos taken in his kitchen or\u00a0DSLR images from local parks, Greg\u2019s photos will\u00a0demonstrate that you do not have to travel to exotic\u00a0locations or use spend hours using software\u00a0manipulation to make creative images.<\/p>\n

Greg Holden<\/p>\n

Greg Holden is a photographer from Rockville, Md\u00a0who uses his photography to share with others how\u00a0he sees the world.<\/p>\n

While Greg has enjoyed viewing many beautiful\u00a0sunrises and landscapes, he finds that the little\u00a0scenes often overlooked by others are the ones that\u00a0fuel his creativity. Greg is always looking beyond the obvious and photographing the things that others\u00a0might not even notice like an acorn sprouting, the\u00a0patterns made by rust and faded paint on an old\u00a0automobile, or patterns in the windblown sand of a\u00a0local beach.\u00a0 Greg is an avid hiker and many of his\u00a0photos are from National Parks.<\/p>\n
