He is the photographer\u2014as well as author and designer\u2014of six books, including American Icons<\/em>, Washington: Portrait of a City<\/em>, FLUSH: Celebrating Bathrooms Past & Present<\/em>, and Abandoned America<\/em>. Abandoned America<\/em> was selected by both People Magazine<\/em> and USA Today<\/em> as “Gift Book of the Year.” Shutterbug<\/em> referred to Steve as \u201ca gifted photographer and author.\u201d Other recognition includes “Advertising Photograph of the Year” in both NYC and Washington, DC. http:\/\/www.gottliebphoto.com<\/a><\/p>\n

Steve produces the Horizon Photography Summit<\/strong>, an event that brings together many leading photographers who lecture on a wide range of subjects. http:\/\/horizonworkshops.com\/summit<\/a><\/p>\n

Steve is a graduate of Columbia University College and Law School. He practiced law for a decade before turning his hobby into his vocation.<\/p>\n
