Dance and Architecture are two distinct yet profoundly interconnected subjects in photography, each offering unique challenges and opportunities for creative expression. Capturing dance in photography involves freezing moments of fluid motion, translating the grace, power, and emotion of the dance into a still image, while Architectural photography focuses on capturing the design, form, and aesthetic of buildings and structures. It emphasizes lines, shapes, patterns, and the relationship between different elements of the design. Can we find something in common between these two? Yes, it’s “ART”, Both dance and architecture photography require a strong artistic vision. Photographers need to see beyond the obvious and capture unique perspectives that showcase their subjects in new and artistic ways. In my “Dance and Architecture” presentation, I hope the audience will find the unique connection hidden behind the photos.
