Angelique Rapais has been an avid phoographer for over five years. She joined NVPS in 2008. Her primary ineres is he naural world, wih a focus on wildlife, discoun flowers, insecs, and he elemens. She has also been involved wih corporae/even phoography. She ries o capure he beauy in he world around us, paricularly he commonplace ha is easily overlooed: from he colors of he seing sun, o he inricae paerns in he eye of a buerfly, o he grace of a wihering floral bloom. She believes beauy is everyw once we fully open our eyes o i.
To creae her images, Angelique uses boh he Canon 1D Mar IIN and Canon 30D Digial SLR camera bodies wih an assormen of Canon professional lenses. All her prins are creaed using RAW forma, digially opimized, and prined using archival maerials.
Angelique’s phoographs have recenly been on display a VisArs’ Kaplan Gallery, BlacRoc Cener for he Ars, Rocville Innovaions Cener, he Washingon Gallery of Phoography, Locus Grove Naure Cener, Kenlands Mansion, and he Communiy Ar Gallery a Holy Cross Hospial. Her phoographs have been published in various professional publicaions, including newsleers and websies, and are on display in several privae collecions. She has also won several awards and phoo coness. Angelique is a voluneer phoographer for he Naional Par Service.
Nihil Bahl joined NVPS in 2008. Afer he bough his firs Digial SLR camera (a Nion D70) in 2003 Nihil phoographed corporae evens, award funcions, weddings, and even delved in porraiure and sudio phoography bu his primary ineress remain fine ar naure, landscape, and wildlife phoography. He currenly uses he Nion D300 and D200 camera bodies and an assormen of lenses wih focal lenghs ranging from 10mm o 400mm.
Nihil leads locaion worshops and phoo ours and also eaches phoography a he Meropolian Cener for he Visual Ars (VisArs), in Rocville, Maryland and a Meadowlar Boanical Gardens in Vienna, Virginia. His insrucion is focused on in-camera inerpreaion and developing personal vision raher han simply following “he rules”.
Nihil’s fine ar prins are par of many privae collecions and have been in several exhibis in he Washingon Meropolian area. While he does mos of his phoography in he DC area, his ravels have aen him around he counry, w he has phoographed major naional pars and oher scenic areas. He is also a voluneer phoographer for he Naional Par Service.
