NVPS September 2023 Field Trip

In September we’re going to hone our street photography skills in Dupont Circle, a lively, busy part of DC.  We’ll find photo ops from the many restaurants, storefronts, and people out and about and heading to brunch.  We’ll also go down a few of the nearby residential streets for some architectural photography.  We’re going to go there on a Sunday to make parking easier to find and because street parking is free.

When:

Sunday, Sept. 10 from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.

Saturday, Sept. 9 from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. (Rain date announced by Thursday, Sept. 7th)

Equipment:

  • Since stealth is the name of the game, a walk-around lens with good range (e.g. 24-120 or 28-300) or a small prime lens (50mm) is recommended.  Think light! No tripods or monopods are needed and only one camera body is recommended.

Where:

We will meet on the sidewalk outside the Dupont Circle North Metro station (corner of 20th and Q Streets, NW).

There is street parking in the areas surrounding Dupont Circle and any metered parking should be free on Sundays.  The Dupont Circle North metro station is on Metro’s red line.

We hope you can join us!
