Tim’s Gallery, Whimsy, and Other Odd Bits, is a collection of photos of the kinds of things you don’t see every day.

Tim Brown entered the world of photography gradually after several decades of a life with no apparent artistic interest or talent. Occasional attempts to capture interesting scenes on film, especially in the desert southwest, rarely succeeded. The three key threshold events that most significantly advanced Tim’s photography skills and interest are:

  1. Getting a digital camera in 2004, which enabled unlimited experimentation.
  2. Getting Adobe Lightroom in 2016, which provided new life for many pictures previously thought to be worthless.
  3. Joining the Northern Virginia Photographic Society in 2018, which opened up an avenue to helpful feedback that boosted both enthusiasm and results.
