Many of our members have explored Great Falls from the VA side and have produced some wonderful award-winning images.  But, now it’s time to go over the river and through the woods to explore the Maryland side of Great Falls.  At this time of year we should have great Fall colors as we explore the C&O canal, Great Falls and for the adventurous people, the Billy Goat Trail and Mather Gorge.  The Park Service link  is: http://www.nps.gov/choh/index.htm for information about the C&O.  There is a fee of $5/vehicle for entry to the park so carpooling is encouraged.  Details for carpooling and the meet up location will be coming soon.  If you would like to sign up for this trip or have any questions, please contact Chuck and Tom, the field trip coordinators at field-trip@nvps.org.
