Description

When UR Heart is in the Bubbles by Lidia Slominski

Lidia Slominski started using bubbles for her art when the children were very young. That is also when she paid more attention to Dr. Seuss’s books with playful, simple texts and illustrations with powerful messages on success within us, life’s inevitable highs and lows, devotion, perseverance, and resilience. The bubbles are beautiful, delicate, fragile, yet resilient despite sun, heat, wind and cold.

In her portfolio project A Story with Bubbles, the intent was to symbolize the human struggle and determination to grow and to achieve, despite the obstacles we must overcome, but at the same time appreciate the joy and the humor along the journey.

But it doesn’t have to be that deep. Bubbles are an easy, versatile and fun subject to photograph and most importantly anytime, anywhere. In addition, you can make your own bubble mixture, or you can buy it in the store. You can use a wand or a bubble blowing machine. You can photograph them in everyday scenes or focus on reflections, patterns, repetition, textures or light play.
