Co-Vice President for Competition Mike Kane recently learned that one of his pieces titled “Shamper’s Summer” juried into the 2012 National Juried Photography Exhibit at the Delaplaine Arts Center, Frederick, Maryland ( http://www.delaplaine.org ). The exhibit opens on November 3rd and closes November 25th. The juror for this exhibit was William, F. Stapp, a photographic historian and museum professional. Mr. Stapp is founding curator of the Smithsonian Institution’s National Portrait Gallery (1976-1991). He subsequently served as Senior Curator of Photography at George Eastman House: The International Museum of Photography and Film, in Rochester, New York; and as Head of Interpretation and Visiting Curator of Photography at England’s National Media Museum in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Now an independent curator based in Washington, DC.
