Description: David took this invitation as a challenge to create enough acceptable photographs of birds to fill a 10-minute presentation without repeating species. The photographs were taken in the U.S., Costa Rica, Ecuador (the Galapagos Islands), and Iceland

Bio: David Kravitz enjoyed Black and White photography (with his own darkroom) for 2-3 years around 1970, but then life intervened and time for photography faded away. He always intended to return to photography when he retired, which he did in June 2019. He researched local photography clubs and, because he concluded that it would provide the best learning opportunities, he joined NVPS – a decision he has never regretted. He considers himself a neophyte and is still open to almost all areas of photography. He devotes the most time to nature photography, but also enjoys travel, documentary, street, and sports photography.
