As I prepared to write this last message of our 2024–2025 club year, I turned to our NVPS website and Facebook page for inspiration. Looking over images from Field Trips, Beanetics shows, Galleries, Forums, E&T, Portfolio Projects,

Competitions, and re–reading Fotofax, it reminded me of the many yearbooks on my shelf. They are filled with images of friends, classmates, colleagues and teachers; a photo documentary of the community of learning I belonged to from September to June.

We now find ourselves at the end of the club year with our banquet being our “yearbook,” so to speak. On July 6, we will come together to reminisce about all the experiences we have shared over this past club year, celebrate our winning images from the End–of–Year Competition, and express our gratitude to our board and volunteers.

I hope this year has been a whirlwind of adjectives for you, as it has been for me—exciting, challenging, educational, and inspirational. Regardless of how you can participate, whether only online, or able to attend in–person meetings, you are an important part of NVPS, and I thank you for being a member and contributing to our community of learning and support that is NVPS.

While the club is on summer break July and August, our board and volunteers will be planning for another stellar year of speakers, judges, education, and experiences to promote our learning and mastery of photography. It is truly an honor for me to serve you again as President during our 2025–2026 club year. I welcome you to contact me or any board member with any thoughts, concerns or ideas, especially if you would like to join in the planning and development of activities!

I hope that you have a safe, photo–inspired summer, and make lots of photos for our 2025–2026 yearbook!
