The Washington Gardener Magazine 2023 Photo Contest awards Phyllis Kimmel’s image “Dumbarton Stairs” a First Place in the Garden Views category and her image “Allium Spikes” a Second Place in the Small Wonders category. Ilenia Alvarez’s image “Flower Kingdom” earned a Second place in the Garden Creatures category and her image “Stroll in the Park” earned an Honorable Mention in the Garden Views category. Mike Whalen’s image “Made in the Shade” earned a Second Place in the Vignettes category and his image “The Climber” earned an Honorable Mention in the Garden Creatures category. And Georgette Grossman’s image “Neighborhood Daffodils” earned an Honorable Mention in the Vignette category. These awards were announced at Green Spring Garden on Saturday February 4, 2023. The photo show reception of the contest winners will be published in the February 2023 issue of Washington Gardener Magazine and will be on view this summer at the Meadowlark Visitor Center’s lobby.
