SUMMARY:Member’s Forum: (In-Person) - Yellowstone 98 with Wayne Wolfersberger
DESCRIPTION:98% percent of the visitors to Yellowstone never see 98% of the park! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe average visitors spend two days visiting Yellowstone\, with all their time on roads connecting them to the big-name features such as Old Faithful\, Yellowstone Falls\, Mammoth Hot Springs and some other geyser basin features. They seldom stop to even view some other features along the way in their rush to get to the next “big thing”. They “hike the board walks around some of the geyser basins but little else in their rush to “see it all”. There is so much more to see and do in the worlds first national park that is 2.2 million acres of treasures. I will share some the “undiscovered gems” that are simply over looked. This will be from my perspective as a Yellowstone Ranger and as a photographer\, including boating\, hiking\, and even a little camping or sleeping on your boat docked at the public marina at the largest natural freshwater lake in the country. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWayne is an ecologist-naturalist\, educator\, and photographer with a master’s degree in education. Over his career\, he worked for the Fish and Wildlife Service\, the National Park Service\, and the Navy Photographic Center. He has spent 45 years in science education in public schools and universities. He has taught a variety of photography classes\, led photography tours\, and has presented educational nature photography programs in the Mid-Atlantic region\, the UK\, and Australia. He has received multiple awards from Natures Best\, NANPA\, and several other photography organizations. His photos have been published in a variety of media and appeared in fine art exhibits as well as stock around the globe. \n\n\n\nwww.waynewolfersberger.com
