SUMMARY:Field Trip: National Capital Trolley Museum
DESCRIPTION:In October we’re visiting the National Capital Trolley Museum where we can photograph streetcars from DC and other cities.  At the visitor center we can see exhibits and presentations on the streetcar system as well as board an historic streetcar for a ride around a one mile track.  And of course we can photograph the many streetcars – from six different nations – on display.   \n\n\n\nMore information about the Trolley Museum can be found here: https://www.dctrolley.org \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen:Saturday October 19\, 2024 from 11:45 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.  (the museum is open from 12 – 5 p.m. on Saturdays\, so feel free to stay late) \n\n\n\nNo rain date \n\n\n\nWhere: \n\n\n\n1313 Bonifant RoadColesville\, MD 20905(301) 384-6352 \n\n\n\nNational Capital Trolley Museum \n\n\n\nEquipment and Notes: \n\n\n\nA 24-70mm lens and a wide angle lens are both good choices for the streetcars\, details and streetcar tracks.   \n\n\n\nAdmission to the museum is $12 ($10 for seniors and those under 18).  The museum strongly recommends purchasing tickets online (the website shows 30 tickets are sold online for each date) but says that walk-ins are welcome.     \n\n\n\nTickets can be purchased here:  https://www.etix.com/ticket/mvc/online/upcomingEvents/venue?venue_id=16854&orderBy=1&pageNumber=2 \n\n\n\nThere is free parking for visitors\, and it is also a ten minute ride from the Glenmont Metro station (red line).   \n\n\n\nWe hope you can join us!Rena Schild and Steven GlintzField Trip Coordinators 2024-2025
