Field Trip: The Old Town Farmers’ Market

September 28 @ 8:00 am 12:00 pm

The Old Town Farmers’ Market held in front of city hall is the oldest farmers’ market held continuously at one site in the country.  The market as well as the block around City Hall offers lots of photographic opportunities for the street and urban photographer.  Vendors will be tending to their stalls, shoppers will be scrutinizing the wares, and others will be out for a stroll making this area a fun and target rich environment.  There’s even more to see as you walk down King Street to the waterfront.

We’ll meet at the South East corner of the market (intersection of King St. and N.Fairfax St.) for our usual meet and greet.  We’ll explore the area around the market for a bit and then take a break at a nearby restaurant, la Madeleine (one block to the West).  Once rested, you’ll have a choice between venturing down to the waterfront or staying around the market.  Feel free to join the trek or stay as long as you like.

Our club had a wonderful time when we last attended the market back in September 2019.
