Field Trip: Piscataway Park
March 21 @ 7:00 am – 10:00 am
For our March field trip, we will explore the scenic beauty of Piscataway Park in Accokeek, Maryland. Overlooking the Potomac River and directly across from Mount Vernon, this National Park Service site offers a peaceful blend of wetlands, meadows, forest trails, and sweeping river views. Early spring is an excellent time to visit—trees begin to bud, migratory birds return, and the soft morning light creates ideal conditions for both landscape and wildlife photography.
The park is also home to the National Colonial Farm, where historic structures, split-rail fences, and farm animals provide additional photographic opportunities. Whether you enjoy wide-angle landscapes, wildlife, or rustic details, Piscataway Park offers a variety of subjects in a quiet, natural setting.
More information about the park can be found here: https://www.nps.gov/pisc/
