Benefits of Membership
Membership in NVPS is open to photographers of every skill level, from beginner to professional. NVPS offers a variety of activities to support skill development both online via zoom meetings and in-person meetings with hands on learning opportunities. NVPS creates a community of photographers focused on learning and enjoyment of photography. Our activities include:
- Monthly Programs presentation online by a professional photographer.
- Monthly Education & Training in person meetings to learn and practice skills.
- Monthly Competitions of digital online and 3 in-person competitions with digital and print submissions. Professional photographers serve as judges who provide critique and feedback on images
- Monthly Members Galleries and Forums: in person at the firehall where members share print and digital images, and a member presents a forum around a photographic technique or experience.
- Portfolio Project: Learn to prepare and present a portfolio of images; professional review provided at the end of the year.
- Field Trips: held at various locations throughout the club year.
- End of Year Banquet: held each June to celebrate the club year and hold our End of Year Awards and Competition results.

When club meetings resume again in September, we invite you to attend an in-person meeting at the Dunn Loring volunteer Fire Hall in Vienna, VA or sign in to a virtual Zoom meeting online.Visitors are also welcome to attend local monthly field-trips that happen all year long. We welcome you to visit and explore how NVPS can support your needs as a photographer.
Annual Dues (September-May) are due by September for returning members.
New members may join at any time.

Membership Types
Full Year Dues, September-May
- Individual $65 Full-Year Dues
- Family $85: Members living at the same address are eligible for family membership.
- Student $20: (Must present student ID)
Half-Year dues (February – May):
Dues are reduced to half of the full-year fee (not available September – January)
- Individual $32.50
- Family $42.50
- Student $10 (Must present student ID)
How to Pay:
To pay by check (preferred – no processing fee).
- Mail your check following directions on the NVPS Member Application Form.
- Bring your check to any NVPS in-person meeting. You may bring a printed copy of the NVPS Member Application Form or fill one out at the meeting.
To pay by Zelle (preferred – no processing fee).
- Zelle is a direct payment system available through many banking institutions.
- Scan the Zell QR code with your phone’s camera and follow the instructions.
- In the payment amount, enter either $65 (Individual), $85 (Family), or $20 (Student). On the optional memo line, please provide your name and email address. For Family Memberships, please also include the name and email address for the other family member(s).
NOTE: NVPS USES YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS SOLELY FOR CLUB BUSINESS. YOUR EMAIL IS NEVER SHARED WITH SPEAKERS, PRESENTERS, OR OUTSIDE THE CLUB.
To pay byPayPal (Incurs a processing fee paid by the club)
- Press the yellow Pay Now button for Individual or Family membership.
- For Family Memberships, enter your family member names and email addresses in the field provided.
- Note: Each family member must have a unique email address. For example, the email addresses for spouses/partners need to be different.
