TONE THEORY―The Principles of Tone

Description: You’ve seen them, those images that make your jaw drop and leave you speechless.  They pull you in, you are captivated by them, and can’t stop looking at them.  They leave a plethora of emotions swirling around in your brain and you just can’t stop thinking about them.  But then, you look through your portfolio and wonder, “Why don’t my images have that same feeling?  Why doesn’t passion resonate in my photos?”

The truth is that most people run toward color and over–saturation to try to achieve the same mood.  Color Theory is definitely powerful and knowing it can help you transform your images.  But there is something even more important that sets the stage for your colors―your tones!  In this presentation Blake is going to introduce you to his Tone Theories.  After this you will be able to look at an image and see almost immediately why it works or doesn’t based on tones alone.
