Wayne Wolfersberger will be teaching the following photography classes among others this spring through the Fairfax County Adult and Community Education Center (ACE).  All are described in the course catalogue which was distributed to all Fairfax County residents four or five weeks ago. Courses may be taken by nonresidents as well as Fairfax County residents. Cost varies dependent upon the number of hours for the sessions.

A brief description follows:

Composition, Creativity, and the Camera:  Develop an eye for better composition and put skill and creativity to work for better results. Work with table top setting composed of both familiar and unusual subjects using a variety of light sources and backgrounds. Class (four sessions) is offered on Wednesdays starting 12 March and runs to 9 April, 2008. The classroom is located in Chantilly High School and begins at 7PM

Flower and Garden Photography:  Explore inexpensive and traditional macro capacities of your camera while learning more about lighting and selective focus for both indoor and outdoor shots.  This class has four sessions, including one Saturday field trip. Classes begin on Monday 24 March.

Outdoor Photography - The Natural World:  For digital and film SLRs. Increase your skills photographing flowers, wildlife and landscapes. Develop techniques for lighting and flash, selective focus, composition, and motion control.  Six sessions including two Saturday field trips are included.  Classes begin on Thursday 10 April 2008.  



Other Information:

In December Wayne Wolfersberger  presented a digital slide program about photography in Yellowstone National Park to the Adelaide Camera Club. This Australian Camera Club, perhaps one of the oldest in the world, formed in 1898.
