Roy Sewell is a man who wears many hats. Although he is an engineer by training, many of us know him because of his nature photography and the time he has spent serving as a competition judge. Over the years he has spent much of his free time exploring the nooks and crannies of the Potomac watershed. He knows about the river, its canals, its flora and fauna through the seasons, its history, and its recreational opportunity. He has given back to the river as Chair of the C&O Canal Trust. He has also shared his love and knowledge of the river through his two books, "Our Potomac" and "Great Falls & Mather Gorge". Enter his world of the Potomac through his imagery on Sunday, September 13, ~6--8 PM (earlier if you want to browse in the store and later if you want a book signed!) at Potomac Paddle Sports in Rockville, MD (near the intersection of Randolph and Rockville Pike). Light refreshments will be served. You will also be briefly introduced to the mission and activities of the West Virginia Rivers Coalition. (Heard about those intersex fish?
