May 06, 2011 - PWPPA is presenting Rick Guidotti - Northern Virginia Photographic Society

We are very excited to announce that we have booked Rick Guidotti to speak at the Courtyard by Marriott Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, VA on Friday, May 6th at 7:00pm.

Rick Guidotti is a fashion photographer out of Manhattan, with clients such as YSL, Elle, Harpers, Revlon, and L'Oreal. He's transitioned his successful career to a very unique, charitable cause: www.PositiveExposure.org. His photo editorial "Redefining Beauty" was featured in Life Magazine and will be a topic of his lecture and slideshow.

Rick Guidotti completed his education in photography and filmmaking at New York's School of Visual Arts and established a studio in Manhattan, specializing in portraiture and fashion for 15 years. During that period he also worked in Milan, Paris and London for clients such as Yves Saint Laurent, Elle, Harpers Bazaar, Revlon, L'Oreal and Life Magazine.

In 1998, Rick founded Positive Exposure, a non profit organization that challenges stigma associated with difference by pioneering a new vision of the beauty and richness of genetic diversity. Rick's photo essay "Redefining Beauty" in Life Magazine won the Genetic Alliance's "Art of Reporting" award.

Seating is Limited and RSVPs are required. PWPPA Gold Members are invited to attend FREE of charge. The non-member registration donation is $15 to offset our expenses for the venue rental and speaker. The program runs from 7:00 - 9:30pm on Friday, May 6th. We would love to have you with us on this special evening, and would appreciate if you would pass this event information along to your members. They are very welcome to attend.
