NVPS has the opportunity to hold an exhibit at the Huntley Meadows Park Visitor's Center, Alexandria, during the months of March and April 2010. The Visitor's Center is located on Lockheed Blvd. off Route 1 south of Alexandria.

 

In keeping with the venue the theme for the exhibit will be "nature". The pictures Do Not have to be taken at Huntley Meadows. The Visitor's Center will accommodate approximately 40 framed photographs of up to 20 x 16. Before establishing specific entry criteria such as number of images allowed per entrant, juried or non-juried, etc., I am soliciting interest from those members who might wish to participate. NVPS membership dues must be current to enter.

 

For your information pictures in the exhibit may be sold under the terms and conditions set by Fairfax County and must remain in place throughout the period of the exhibit. The County will handle all sales transactions and will take a 20 percent commission on sales. At the end of the exhibit NVPS will be issued one check and the club will reimburse individuals their share of the proceeds.

By the middle of December I would like to have an idea as to how many members might be interested. At that time I will provide more specific details as to how we will conduct the exhibit.
